Child Safety Standards
Policy & Statement of Commitment
At drewPIC, we have a zero-tolerance policy for child abuse and inappropriate behavior. We are deeply committed to the safety, well-being, and empowerment of all children and young people. We actively work to create digital environments where children are safe, feel safe, and their voices are heard.
Core Principles of Child Safety
- Zero Tolerance: Any form of child abuse, neglect, or exploitation is fundamentally unacceptable and will result in immediate action.
- Empowerment: We encourage children to speak up and voice their concerns, ensuring they know who to approach if they feel unsafe.
- Screening & Training: We conduct background checks and provide child safety training to all staff, volunteers, and contractors.
- Inclusive Practices: We are committed to the cultural safety of children from all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, children from culturally diverse backgrounds, and children with disabilities.
Code of Conduct
All staff, volunteers, and representatives of drewPIC are required to strictly adhere to our Code of Conduct. We expect our team to:
- Treat all children with respect, dignity, and fairness.
- Maintain professional boundaries and never engage in any form of physical, emotional, or digital misconduct.
- Immediately report any safety concerns, suspicions of abuse, or breaches of our Code of Conduct.
